SUPERMAN RETURNS


Superman returns back to the big screen with a new movie. Just let me say that Superman Returns is one of the best movies ive seen all summer and ive seen a few of them. At first i was a little reluctant to a new actor playing superman. I mean come on Christopher Reeves was, up untill now, the greatest superman any of us have ever known. Well let me tell you that Brandon Routh made an excellent portrail of both Superman and his nerdy counterpart Clark Kent.
Not only was Superman played by a great actor, but so too was Lex Luthor. Kevin Spacey delivers another great preformance. Much like Superman, Lex Luthors character kept some of the same qwurkiness as in the old movies, only this time he is much darker. Effectively recreating the roll, with some of his old self still in it.
Lets not forget about the story. The story of this movie was, for lack of a better word, awesome. I have always been a fan of superhero movies. Alot of times they don't create a good story. Some times the tend to try and blow you away with special effects by always showing the superheros powers ( prime example being the X-men movies... OMG Wolverine has healing powers lets who it for like 85% of the movie!). This tends to lead to a boring movie. I have seen the movie and let me tell you, Superman Returns is far from bad. It seemed to have a great story and was Extreamly well done. The actors and director did a wonderful job. I mean becides who is more manly than Superman? (excluding myself of course) I highly recommend any one that hasn't seen it to go see it. Oh and don't wear any socks, because they will just be blown off anyways, and then you will have to fork over more money for new socks.
